The Plant Manufacturing Excellence Manager is responsible to lead, deploy, and materialize the CMES (Cargill Manufacturing Excellence System) within the Plant frame. This includes the three value streams of Reliability Excellence, Production Excellence and Capital Excellence.
Accountable for manufacturing excellence activities and governance which includes assessment of gaps and identification of solutions, continuous improvement expertise and services, engineering/manufacturing Technologies domain application, planning of capital and management of projects, and delivery of best practices, across manufacturing and operational effectiveness.
Through influence of direct reports enforces the CMES across the Plant to enable the routine delivery of exceptional operational performance. He/she is charged with fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enable the operations organization to exceed its goals and objectives creating sustainable tangible business results.
He /She advises, consults, and provides strategic delivery oversight and governance in the following main support functions:
Maintenance & Reliability
Core Manufacturing Technologies (i.e. wet milling, refinery, dextrine, polyols, crystallization, Water Waste Treatment, packaging, energy, etc.).
Engineering (i.e. civil, structural, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, reliability, maintenance, process design, process safety, process development, etc.).
The Plant Manufacturing Excellence Manager will report into the Site Manager and will ensure functional alignment with the other functional plant leads while actively contributing into the Plant Operations Leadership Team.
Education (includes formal education, certifications, accreditations, etc)
Technical Education (engineering Degree) or relevant equivalent experience
LEAN/Six Sigma Black Belt level or equivalent experience/knowledge
A minimum of 5 year experience in leading teams within a Operations/ Manufacturing/ Engineering organization (e.g. Operations manager, Engineering Mgr., etc.)
Proven results in driving CI cultural change in a department group or function.
Skills (applied knowledge and technical skills directly related to this position)
Proven ability to influence results w/peers, management teams and contractors. Strong influencing skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and engineering most used software
Communication skills: Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Listening, speaking, writing, presenting, discussing and negotiating;
Interpersonal skills: team player, respectful, asks questions, teaching and mentoring, convincing
Languages: Business fluency in English (writing and speaking) and Italian

The individual will develop within the Manufacturing Excellence domain and would have exposure to the full Plant Operations corporate program in a Plant position. He/she will be part of the Plant Operations Leadership team with.
Might be a Development path as step up to a Plant Operations / Manufacturing Excellence role at Plant/BU level.
