In NPO, Optimization and Transformation Business Line will play a key role in driving the commercial success of service-led optimization and transformation business growth.

The role of the Business Product Leads (BPL) in the BL is to ensure the strong growth of service-led optimization and transformation businesses by introducing and enhancing automation led transformation and optimization solutions. BPL is mandated to increase Nokia market share including in multivendor scenario while creating recurring revenue streams and customer stickiness.

Business Product Leads will play a key role in driving the commercial success of customer solution driven NPO portfolio:

  1. Customer Solution focus
  • Develop services /solutions/use cases that address customer-specific pains, jobs and desired gains

  • Develop use cases/ solutions/services in close connection with customers leveraging agile solution development methodologies and incremental DevOps approach through Minimum Viable Product definition and fast prototyping

  1. Business Acumen
  • Develop/scale services/solutions/ use cases characterized by high customer value and that are fit for NPO strategy and can be monetized with proper ROI and strong GM

  • Create new and disruptive business models connecting Nokia value proposition (through key competences/resources and partners) with the selected customer segments

  • Define new business opportunities through competitive advantage approach and blue ocean like analysis and positioning

  1. Technical solution
  • Develop services/solutions/ use cases that are innovative, differentiative, future-proof and position Nokia as a leader in NPO domain

  • Leverage partnership and adjacent market best practices where applicable

To be successful, Business Product Leads act as Mini-CEO of services/solutions with strong personal drive:

Key responsibilities:

  • Defines and drives a differentiated service/solution vision that delivers unique value based on customer s immediate or immersive demands

  • Engages strongly and proactively with customers, service product sales teams and customer operations

  • Regularly analyzes market and competitive conditions and industry trends

  • Works closely with marketing to drive the visibility of services

  • Defines (based on NPO and BL strategy) service/solution strategy, roadmap and priority plans

  • Defines service/solution customer value proposition based on precise customer analysis & segmentation through unrivalled fitting with Nokia NPO key competences and resources

  • Actively contributes to commercial model and pricing schemes that maximize Nokia financial performances

  • Is responsible for financial success (BCs, revenues, profit and ROI) for respective portfolio within business line(s)

  • Is responsible for service/solution availability according to development plans

  • Works in agile mode with DevOps approach for continuous improvement closely with product managers, solution architects and other subject-matter experts to develop and deliver with cross functional teams

  • Set requirements and business priorities for the development teams

  • Is responsible for alignment with other services/solutions within NPO and other BUs/BGs


Key requirements:

  • Several years of experience in telecom/IP/IT industry with strong understanding of b2b services business

  • Proven track record from working with customers either in sales or pre-sales and in product management

  • Management level experience in business management, business development, business models creation and/or product management

  • Experience in people leadership either in line management role or function management e.g. in program management

  • MSc or equivalent university education

  • Proven experience in managing development and commercial matters with partners
