Agilent Technologies, Inc. Product Support Engineer Vacuum in Italy

Agilent Technologies is currently looking for a new team member to be part of the Vacuum Products service and support structure. The product support engineer is going to be responsible for the serviceability of several vacuum product families and will become part of a team of 10 employees reporting to the VPD Global Support Manager.

Part of the responsibilities is to represent the Service department in new product introduction projects, ensuring full serviceability of the newly developed product. This includes inputs to design, creation of service manuals and SOPs, set up of spare parts and maintenance of the serviceability over time.

In addition to that, the candidate is responsible for the after sales on a range of vacuum products, which includes to support the network of 3rd party service partners or Agilent field service engineers providing in depth remote technical assistance on the product families within his/her responsibility. Further, it is the Product Support Engineer’s responsibility to secure the supportability of your existing products with our customers, and therefore, also to make sure that both the internal and external service partners are made aware of any updates or changes in products or spare parts etc.

Occasional supplier and customer visits for post sales technical support and training can be part of the assignment.

Therefore, we are looking for a structured and customer orientated approach in our new team member, in order to secure a high level of service and support. As you will have to deal with many international stakeholders, the ability to work in cross functional and cross regional teams and under pressure as well as excellent oral and written communications skills are required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience from a similar position or with similar products

  • Good written and spoken English is a requirement, additional languages are an advantage

  • Experience in the vacuum industry is a great advantage

  • Strong technical understanding is a requirement

  • Leak detection knowledge, SAP, CAD, and familiarity with the Product Life Cycle are considered a plus.
