Digital Experience is an emerging focus area for organizations as they want to move from web-centric to more pervasive, multichannel digital experiences. Digital Experience in this context is the interaction between users (customers, partners, employees, etc) and an organization via multiple digital channels in a consistent way. This covers both the management of the interactions (portal, website and mobile technology) as well as the management of (web) assets and documents. All to provide end users with unified, timely and continuous access to the information, interactions and knowledge.

Oracle’s Digital Experience portfolio is traditionally strong based on-premises technologies as WebCenter Suite (WebCenter Content, WebCenter Sites, WebCenter Portal and WebCenter Capture). In addition Oracle offers Digital Experience (Cloud) PaaS solutions like:

  • Oracle Content and Experience Cloud (CEC), which provides content services to all touchpoints, including websites, marketing, commerce and service applications, as well as mobile apps, chatbots, IoT devices and custom apps.

  • Visual Builder Cloud (VBC), provides an easy way to create web and mobile applications and host them in a secure cloud environment.

  • Process Cloud (now part of Integration Cloud), for enabling content centric workflows. Currently a need exists for an experienced Digital Experience Architect with a focus on functional process architecture and design across all disciplines of the Digital Experience function.

Description and Job Requirements

The Digital Experience (Solution) Project Manager is part of Consulting team and is responsible for: developing and supporting (Oracle) Cloud Technology Solutions, leveraging the latest versions of Oracle IaaS and PaaS Services like: Digital Experience Services, Cloud Native Application Development Services, Integration Platform Services, Security Services and Infrastructure- and Database Services.

The Digital Experience ensures solution feasibility and mitigates risk by leveraging a network of subject matter experts in the various domains he is also capable in collaboration of solution expert of proposing customer roadmaps to realize the proposed solution.

As a leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge.

Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise.

Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to deliver technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the company.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.

Cloud Digital Experience PM will work:

  • On client-billable and pre-sales assignments to deliver to the customer specific Cloud Technology Services and the to be configured or developed Cloud Technology Solution(s);

  • Work with Oracle Consulting Sales and Delivery colleagues to position and deliver the right Cloud Technology Consulting Services to maximize customer’s success in the most effective and efficient way.

Detailed Skills & Responsibilities

Technology Skills:

  • Strong interest in working with Cloud Technology Services and Solutions.

  • Understanding of the value for business of Cloud solutions for IT departments, Lines of Business and Developers, is a plus.

  • Over 5-7 years of experience with Digital Experience solutions at a consultancy or customer including business process analysis, systems analysis and design, and technical/functional solutions delivery

  • Experience of Oracle Paas or oracle Saas services is desirable but not essential

  • Strong in development methodologies, including strong skills for issue resolutions

  • Excellent knowledge of methods (e.g. TOGAF ) , product standards and architectural roadmaps.

Customer Engagement Skills:

  • Good communication skills, able to articulate complex messages very clearly, with demonstrated ability to engage, advise and inspire executives.

  • Strong customer focus to delivery the right quality for our customers.

  • Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done can require working together with many colleagues, partners and customers.

  • Detailed knowledge of all the major business processes and associated functionality in the Digital Experience domain.

  • Translates business goals into appropriate DX solutions while assessing feasibility and optimization of the solution for our customers.

  • Cultivates and demonstrates thorough Digital Experience business process knowledge. Proactively identify process improvements including clear and focused solutions

  • Understanding of Cloud Services and Solutions implementation methodologies, processes and disciplines is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and direction to high priority or special projects undertaken by the customer’s business area.

  • Leads in the development of the technical solution or offering, in translating the business needs into technical requirements. Identifies gaps, strategic impacts, financial impacts and the risk profile in the technical solution or offering, and provides technical support.

  • Takes full accountability for the architectural solution of a pre-sales opportunity or project

  • Takes full ownership of “best practices” in the Digital Experience area, covering the whole strategic footprint

  • Handles complex long-term focused projects involving multiple disciplines or business units of the customer.

  • Must be self-motivated in learning new concepts and willing to share knowledge and skills with other team members

  • Provides high-level specialized technical support and consultation to customer’s business and IT management.

  • Develops strong relationships with the product lines and in co-operation with the Delivery Management teams, advise on competency requirements

  • Experience with interacting with third party resources, including offshore teams

Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet very complex customer needs. Exercises creativity and independent judgment in identifying and resolving major issues and risks impacting project success. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams. As a thought leader and trusted advisor, effectively influences decisions at the leadership level of customer organizations. Ensures customer deliverables are acceptable, and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Enables business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise. Manages the scope of medium to large-scale projects, and accounts with varying levels of complexity.

10 years of experience relevant to this position including 3 years of project management experience. Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity. Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Selling skills preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. PMI certification preferred. Ability to travel as needed.
