For our R&D site in Italy, we are looking for a talented, enthusiastic individual with a passion for plant breeding for the following position:
Internship in Breeding
An incredible opportunity to gain broad experience within a market-leading, innovative, multinational company exists. This is a chance to work in a multicultural environment within a highly motivated and professional team and an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience of commercial breeding. Program duration will be 12 months from approximately March 2018 until March 2019.
Your main responsibilities will be to manage and develop an exciting project within the sweet pepper breeding program
Activities can include, but are not limited to:
-Planning and assisting practical activities related to the project
-Conducting and coordinating performance trials in the field
-Data collection in the field and data analysis using custom software
-Assisting daily breeding activities
Who qualifies for the Internship Program?
-Graduate with a MSc Degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, or any Agriculture-related degrees. Students about to graduate will also be considered for this position.
-Knowledge of genetics, methods of plant breeding, agronomy is highly desirable
-Strong communication skills are required for written and oral presentations and strong computer literacy.
-Fluency in Italian and English, written as well as spoken, is required;
