Role Summary:

For a 6 months internship we are looking for an entry level professional passionate about LEAN Manufacturing.

The identified candidate will have the chance to learn and work in an international environment, supporting Lean practices & Process Improvement initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

The intern will support the Lean Manufacturing team in:

  • Facilitate cross-functional project teams, mini or full Action Work Out (AWO) and single kaizen events in order to progress along the transformation plan;

  • Effective Value stream mapping, wastes detection in manufacturing environment;

  • Drive transformation execution on basics : 5S, SMED;

  • Be GE Aviation Production System (GEAPS) advocate in the cell.

  • Involve shop operators in transformation, with training & kaizen events Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Aeronautical/Materials Engineering

  • Basic Knowledge of main manufacturing processes

  • Committed to improvement

  • Curious, Proactive and Self starter

  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Able to multitask and prioritize

  • Geographic flexibility and global mindset

  • Fluent in English and Italian

  • EU work permit Desired Characteristics:

  • Able to influence, motivate and work effectively within a matrix environment

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge is preferred
