Thermal System Design (TSD) junior analyst is a talented engineer, expected to support the Law Pressure Turbine (LPT) Secondary System and thermal analysis throughout the entire NPI process, from preliminary to final architecture definition, including the Design Validation phase.
LPT TSD Junior Design Engineer will:
Contribute actively to studies and calculations devoted to get the best detailed LPT thermal and fluid-dynamic secondary system design, interacting with Aerodynamic, Clearances and Module Mechanical design teams
Performing LPT Thermal analysis providing inputs to the Hardware Owners (HWO) for durability detailed assessment of LPT components
Validate LPT Secondary System design and Temperature prediction selecting the LPT instrumentation and postprocessing test (rig/engine) data.
Support Technical Leader and HWOs in the coordination of the overall LPT design activities with the aim to achieve program milestones and meet schedule and deadlines
Contribute and support Design Reviews (DRs) and Tech Reviews (TRs), even as presenter, when required
Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks.
Master Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
Strong technical skill and passion and interesting in mechanical design
Ability to interface with a multi-functional team, not in a direct reporting relationship, including technical people from different departments/companies/research centers Self-directed and motivated
Open mindset and strong team player
Italian mother tongue and fluent written and spoken English
EU Work Permit.
Knowledge and experience in CFD tools/numerical modelling
Basic experience in CAD tools
Experience with FE tools (i.e. Patran, Hypermesh, Ansys)
Capability to work autonomously with Windows based tools
Passion and commitment for technology
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to guide and influence others in a global environment.
