Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to define all necessary cutting tools in order to assure strong manufacturing process.

  • Work with the NC programmer to apply the best performing cutting strategies.

  • Analyze the tooling requested and propose the adequate solution.

  • Develop the required cutting tools for NPI.

  • Identify and lead projects to reduce tool costs.

  • Identify and lead projects to increase productivity on legacy parts.

  • Perform the design of the tools or make it sub-contracted.

  • Actively support the safety, quality, and productivity goals of the operation. Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Management) from an accredited university or High School Diploma with significant experience in manufacturing cutting tools & equipment.

  • Medium knowledge of English (Reading, writing and speaking)

  • Reading, writing and speaking fluency in Italian

  • EU work permit Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong project management skills and success in leading cross-functional teams

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion

  • Six Sigma training is preferred
