Big Data / Business Analytics (Senior) Principal Consultant
The Italian Business Analytics Consulting organisation is responsible for delivering specialized consulting services to clients and supporting sales activities related the Business Analytics product stack.
We are growing fast and have an immediate requirement for an additional Business Analytics Consultant, based in Rome.
The selected candidate will be responsible for elements like system analysis, development and deployment for key clients in various industries.
Analyze and document requirements at different levels (business, solution, architecture, …) to support the design of Oracle’s Analytics solutions with Oracle Architects
Design, implementation, configuration, testing and maintenance of business analytics solutions using the Oracle strategic technology stack
Working alongside the customer, Oracle colleagues, partner(s) and other third party organizations as required to ensure successful deployment and support of Oracle technologies
Ensuring client issues are resolved, either as an individual or with assistance from other Oracle lines of business e.g. Support and Development
Developing and maintaining an up to date knowledge of Oracle products and services.

Minimum 5 years experience with Oracle Business Analytics (Oracle Business Intelligence, Endeca, Big Data Discovery and Big Data related tools like ‘R’, SPARK, Scala, …) as an analyst / specialist
Minimum 5 years experience in Information Management designing based on model-driven or data-driven approaches
A proven experience in working with relational databases and Java
In depth understanding of architecture of analytic solutions, development methodologies and software development lifecycles
Proved experience to install and deploy complex architectures based on Oracle Analytics products (mainly Oracle Business Intelligence, Endeca, Big Data Discovery)
Be familiar with / able to manage
security implications related to analytics architectures
SLA of technical environments
Additional knowledge and experience with two or more of the following technologies / areas are an advantage:
Implementation of security layers related Oracle Analytics products
RTD and Data Mining
Exalytics and Oracle Engineered Systems
Oracle Data Integrator.
Excellent design and analytical skills
Proactively maintain knowledge of Oracle’s current and future Analytics product and related products / solutions offerings
Effective in inter-personal and team-oriented communications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prepared to travel
Fluent in English and Italian.

As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.
