We are seeking to fill the position of a General Ledger Accountant
Reporting To : Chief Accountant & Controller
Based from : Sesto San Giovanni (Mi)
Contract : Permanent Full Time
The main responsibilities include:
Manage the finance function to include supervision of Month End and Year End Closing, A/P and Banking for Italy
Ensure frequent review of P&L and Balance Sheets for Italy
preparation and control of the annual VAT declaration
Tax Payment (IRPEF,INPS,IVA,IRES,IRAP stc) after validation of the direct Supervisor
Analysis and bookkeeping of the Intra Group invoices
Management of treasury and accounting based on the group rules
Sox Compliance procedure and USGAAP knowledge
The successful candidate is requested to have the following competencies
Degree/ University Degree in Accounting - Finance
Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in a US MNC
Able to manage a full set of accounts
Experience with MNC matrix reporting structure and SOX strongly desired.
Proven track record of successfully analyzing and resolving problems
Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel) is a must; SAP knowledge strongly required FI module
Performance driven, able to manage deadlines.
Resourceful, demonstrates initiative.
Office based in Milan
Spanish and/or French preferred
This person must hold a current passport and be prepared to travel abroad not only during working hours but also occasionally at weekends.

Exposure to US GAAP and regulations e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley Act
Develop a good understanding of the analytical instruments industry, as well as associated industries in the supply chain e.g. life science, pharmaceutical, food.
Further enrich knowledge on SAP and related reporting systems e.g. Analysis
