Reporting to the Sales Manager has responsibility for the sales in a specified geographical area, for all the area products and services and for all the accounts. Manages a group of Technical Sales Specialists, assigns them territories and accounts in order to achieve agreed sales targets within an allocated budget. Plans all the activities at the area level, including sales administration, customer support, sales promotion and logistics (local warehousing). Collects and manage market information (market share, competitor’s activities, etc), include sales administration, customer support, sales promotion and logistics (local warehousing).

  • Defines sales targets at the area level and prepares the sales and marketing plan to achieve them. He puts the plan into practice and control its accomplishment. Within the plan all the following items must be described: market size and segmentation, competition, product performance, customers’ information analysis, distribution channels analysis, promotional advertising needed, sales objective

  • Defines sales targets at distributors level, makes sales orders according to the product availability, organize the product allocation/transfer during the sales campaign in order to reduce the return rate and manages the credits collection. Organizes the local warehouse activity. In charge of accomplishing the expenses forecasts assigned to his area.

  • Establishes, controls, motivates, coaches and coordinates his Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) network. In detail: he is in charge of defining the TSS’ working program at farm by farm level and the messages to be delivered. He puts the plan into practice and control its accomplishment. Supports the TSS in visiting farmers when needed (complaints, opinion leaders, ...)

  • Visits farmers in a planned way and carries out all the TSS’ activities (Planting Programs, Forage Monitoring, Soil Monitoring, complaints, silage inoculants sales, etc.), in order to be an example of the way of working

  • Manages the trials activity at the area level according to the Company’s guidelines. He directly participates to the planting, scoring and harvesting activities in order to deepen the product knowledge.

  • Manages the organizations and execution of the promotional events in the area like presentations, talks, field days, harvest days along with the annual plan.

  • 90% of travel within the sales area and 10% of office environment

Qualifications

  • Medium or High degree in Agriculture Sciences

  • Knowledge on Marketing Techniques

  • Minimum of five years working in direct contact with farmers

  • Marketing skills.

  • PC user

  • Wide knowledge of the agriculture distribution system

  • Agronomy and product knowledge
